According to Helen Merritt, Nanako Yamada, Guide to Modern Japanese Woodblock Prints: 1900-1975 (1995), p. 130, Toyosaku Saito (斎藤豊作) (1880 – 1951) made some woodcuts “including acrobats and juggler” at the beginning of Taisho era. I am interested in these images because this Japanese painter studied and worked in France, where he came back, married and settled after 1919.
Unfortunately I have not been able to find and locate these woodcuts, and I would be very grateful for any help.
